Are settings saved by the CPS
Are settings saved by the CPS
Hello everyone, I am very satisfied with the latest firmware. Totally clear, many additional functions.
Question: is that the settings on the device are not permanently saved in the code plug?

Re: Are settings saved by the CPS
I've moved this post to the General discussion topic, because the NA7Q version is 99.99% the same as the official version and AFIK does not implement a method to save the settings to the CPS
Re: Are settings saved by the CPS
Which custom features in the NA7Q version do you use ?
Re: Werden Einstellungen vom CPS gespeichert
Thank you for your prompt reply,
It's the functions in channel details.
eg Vox, CSS, if I only change the channel the storage is gone.
Sas may be so wanted by you that it is only temporarily stored I don't know.
how is the programming intended, should the code plug not be overwritten?

AFIK. There are no differences between the Channel Details in NA7Q's version than the master copy.dkerl wrote: ↑Mon Jun 08, 2020 5:16 amThank you for your prompt reply,

I think your problem is probably you are not saving the details back to the codeplug.

Re: Werden Einstellungen vom CPS gespeichert
Accepting and saving the changes to the channel
Pressing the Green menu key confirms the changes.
"Pressing Function + Green saves the settings to the codeplug", or in the case of the VFO the changes are saved to the non-volatile settings.
Pressing the Red menu key closes the menu without making any changes to the channel.
If I do as it is written in the instructions and then press the channel up or down,
the previously saved change is no longer there. !?

OK.
I'll test in case something is broken

Re: Are settings saved by the CPS
Works OK for me
Which setting did you think was not being saved

Re: Are settings saved by the CPS
So again,
I go to Channel Details in the menu, e.g. select Vox, set it to on.
then the green button to save, ok he took over.
if I then choose a different channel, then go back to the channel where I have selected Vox, the Vox is deactivated again, so it is no longer saved.
If I save the data in the CPS, it is retained.
if I make the change on the device, the storage is not retained.
I hope it was so understandable.
