The only bugs I currently know about are

1. Problem with terrible audio quality on a Non-GPS radio. This problem may not be related to whether the radio is Non-GPS.
Please let me know if you installed on a Non-GPS version
2. Speaker clicks
3. Loose battery connection caused radio to hang
4. Orange button does not seem to work perfectly for everyone. I received 1 report of the Orange button opening the Quick Menu but not closing it.
5. Problem of occasional speaker click when no DMR signal. This bug is not specific to the MD2017/RT-82, it also occurs on the DM1701 and may occur on the UV380
I have a Non-GPS MD-2017 and can report the following:

1. Audio is fine, no issues here
2. Speaker clicks, yes, I have those, but it's not really annoying
3. No loose battery here, so no issues with this
4. My orange button is hard to push (and has always been), but otherwise it works well.
5. Radio open for a couple of hours besides me on my desk and no issues with spurios speaker clicks.

I hope this info is useful!

Thanks

Speaker clicks when playing beeps etc are also in the official firmware, so this appears to be a fault in the electronics design of this radio.
I will investigate whether there is anything I can do in the firmware to reduce them, perhaps using the same method of "click suppression" which I used for the MD9600, but at the moment I don't know if that will be possible on the MD2017

The supurious speaker clicks are only on DMR and occur when the Green LED illuminates / flashes occasionally when there is no DMR signal.
People reported the same problem on the DM-1701 but I didn't have time to test this.

BTW.

For me DMR audio is a lot quieter than FM audio, so I will investigate whether I can change the FM audio gain to reduce this imbalance

Hey. Part of alpha testing is prompt feedback. Now, I haven't looked at your code, but I guess that it has - tops - some Unit testing in it, if at all, but I can't really visualize how you could do automated integration testing, and much less automated UAT. After all, that's what you have us testers for.

(I build Platforms, Cloud automation and SDLCs (CI/CD) for a living, don't know if somehow that's showing a bit)

Keep the releases coming, and rest assured that, other financially gainful workload allowing, you'll receive as prompt and detailed feedback as possible.

After all, we can't be thankful enough for all the work that you have put into OpenGD77. People often forget the amount of work that is behind widely used open-source projects and take it as a "given", when there is always people behind it.

I've runned my rt82 several hours in hotspot mode in both TG 91 and transmissions from another radio to TG 4000 and accessing other talkgroups and I noticed no problems.

I used the latest MMDVMHost from git built on Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS.

I noticed a hanging MMDVMHost process if I powered off the RT-82 that I had to kill with -9 but I guess not related to the radio.
( I will test with another radio )

Hello, today I tested my Vetomile as a hotspot practically all afternoon, without any problem, the only explanation I have is that it fits Raspberry, everything else is perfect.
Thanks for the job.
