Yes, you need the DFU drivers even when you flash Opengd77 firmware.
The CPS from TYT/Retevis/Baofeng include some DFU driver but you can also download the latest from St.

If I remember correctly you have the drivers in the program directory for the dfuse programmer after you have install the file from st.com

The driver for STM32CubeProgrammer is not compatible with OpendGD77 so don't install that.
