Ummm

You should delete the EmerSys config becuase this contains invalid data

You should clear all your old Emergency system data and make a new APRS config for APRS1

However, I will try to understand why its not working in your case even when you have selected APRS1 which should be valid data

Your codeplug is working for me on both UV380 and also GD77

Try clearing all your APRS configs and make a new one and do not change anything in that config

Use the latest CPS 2023.08.10.01

Pressing PTT+SK1 is exactly the same that pressing the PTT alone, just mic audio: tried both VFO and the channel with APRS config associated to it.

From my short time testing, push PTT and do a really short press of SK1. If you do the longer press like SK2 for subtone, it will not work.

BTW, I think it would be a good idea to fix the SK2 typo in FAQ post before more people become confused.

Someone said that they can't decode it using DireWolf, but I tried both DireWolf and also SDR Angel and both work fine as does transmitting RF on my external antenna to get onto the a local APRS.fi receiver , 30km away.

The typo (wrong information) is in FAQ:

The APRS position data is transmitted by holding the PTT, then pressing and releasing the SK2 button

I managed to reach APRS gateway ~50km away after several tries without direct visibility and with 5W and it decoded correctly.

Considering the DireWolf issue, was it not the person who had the old emergency system setting? Could emergency system memory data be transmitted instead of the message?

A bit stupid question, sorry, in UV380 what are the sk1 and 2 keys? Is SK1 the one above or the one below?
