Re: TYT MD-UV380 / RT-3S Installation information
hello, that's good news, running opengd77 on rt3s, I have one for about 2 years, but it's the version without gps, can I install it without problems? Thanks again to the developers for adding this radio to the list of this very good firmware.

Quick menu is accessed by SK1 (the top side button) + green.
GPS and non-GPS versions both use the same firmware. The GPS should be automatically detected, but that is not working correctly yet.

Great work!
Installed without any problem and so far all working on my RT3S.
BTW the TX led is green, is this normal on this alpha version?

We had not spotted that one!. On DMR the TX LED is both Red and Green at the same time but looks more like Green than Yellow.
This is an error.
It will be fixed in next release. (PR Raised)

Re: TYT MD-UV380 / RT-3S Installation information
Only issue I've found so far is the LED already noted for update. Otherwise working great so far. Thanks to all for this wonderful development and your hard work. This totally transforms the radio.
With the eco modes on the OpenGD77 and using my TYT MD-UV380 with no eco modes you really notice the difference in battery life. Are eco modes possible with this hardware?

Re: TYT MD-UV380 / RT-3S Installation information
Yes, battery saving should be possible. The MDUV380 firmware is based on the firmware for the MD-9600 mobile rig which had no need for battery saving. So we haven't ported that feature over yet from the GD77 code.
