I saw in the other thread, you have two 390Plus, can you send me the secure registers of the other one ?
Done. Sent the registers for my other radio.
Sorry for the delay, I don't normally use a workstation with Windows. I wish the CPS software ran on Linux.

I thought someone had posted about how they got the CPS working with Linux using Wine, but I'm not sure whether they mean completely working in terms of Com ports etc.
I'm pretty sure the firmware loader wouldn't work because we have to use the STM DFU drivers from STMicroElectronics and even if they did produce Linux drivers, I bet it would be a nightmare to get them to work with CPS under Wine

I recently came across this post from UB6LUM implying they got Wine working:

Hi,
Can anyone tell me the status of OpenGD77 on the new TYT MD-UV390 Plus 10w version? From the posts I have read it appears this is still a work in progress. Does any one know if this is getting close? I would like to purchase one of these radios. I don't really care about the 10W feature, but this seems to be the only ones available now. I have been reading posts, but can't really get a clear picture on where this stands. Is there a beta version of the firmware for this radio?
Sorry if I have missed something in the posts. I am new to the group.
Thanks for any info!

There is an experimental version which works, but the power calibration is not correct.

How? Does one know if the rig is a plus or not? My hand held came with a round pencil eraser sized orange sticker saying "PLUS"?
So I am to understand that my handheld, is indeed a +?

You should know that, right ? You ordered and received it
Since it's labeled Plus, flash the Plus10W firmware. If you have weird backlight problems (no backlight until you press the PTT), flash the other MD-UV380 firmware version (non Plus10W).

Hello,
Recently (19.06.2024) I bought 2x TYT MD UV390 PLUS 10W GPS and I started from installing OpenGD77 on it using Windows 10 Home.
As described in manual I managed to backup Register, backup Flash and backup Calibration data, therefore in newest CPS I didn’t found „BACKUP EEPROM” button, so I assumed that it’s not important and I went with it and created a whole codeplug for it. Radio is working fine, but…
There are some times when I see volume bar changing and green led illuminating green, but there is no audio from the speaker.
But in 3 of 5 calls it works right. Especially when receiving calls from another TYT MD UV390 PLUS 10W with GPS.
I’m aware that right now without eeprom backup .bin file I’m just not able to recover opengd77 to factory settings, and I won’t be able to put the original firmware?
I don’t know if that’s a bug or „BACKUP EEPROM” button was changed to „BACKUP REGISTRY”.
If someone is interested in registry file of that two transcievers I can send registry file.
Have a wonderful day!
