MD-UV380 Source

Post by OE6BZD » Mon Dec 04, 2023 4:44 pm

Hi all,

sorry to be the guy that aks THAT question again but..
Is there any chance to get the source code for the latest MDUV380 release anytime soon?

I successfully compiled the available source (R20230311) and uploaded it to my MD-UV390G but unfortunately noticed, that a lot of things are out of date and there is no point in starting to work on this outdated source.

When or based on what indicator do you rate a version as stable and therefor release it's source?

I based would really like to help and smooth out a few things and since daytime job is actually writing firmware for STM32s, I believe I could actually be of help.

Thank you, best regards & 73

Yes.

Current plan is to release source code for all platforms before Christmas, if the latest beta has no major bugs

In the meantime, you might want to take a look at the OpenRTX project and see what it offers. Sounds like you could help them with their current tasks.

Project's homepage is at https://openrtx.org/
