Codeplug DL

Hi,

I converted, optimised, revised and updated my RD-5R DL codeplug for OpenGD77.

You can download it from https://www.dl9sec.de/download/Codeplug ... DL9SEC.zip

The version '4v0a (OpenGD77)' inside is the new version, tested on a RD-5R and a GD-77.
It contains 465 german DMR repeaters (BM and DMR+) grouped into the german federal states, regions and administrative dictricts.

Feel free to use it as a template for your own codeplug.
Feedback is appreciated.

Edit: The compressed file containes the fixed version of the codeplug. Thanks to Colin G4EML for investigation and fixing.

Hi Thorsten,

excellent codeplug. But the zones seems to have corrupted data, some blank zones at the end with strange format. No chance to delete them.
Tested with GD-77 (OpenGD-77 FW).

Hi Michael,

yes, you are right. I observed the same issue. Especially at the first start of the device, the display seems to be some kind of garbled.
These empty zones are not visible in the CPS.
The next days I will look into the CSV file, maybe something there causes these "phantom" zones...

@G4EML & @VK3KYY

Hi Colin, hi Roger,

could you please take a look at my DL codeplug?

I created this CP using the stock CPS CP, converted it with Colin's tool to an OpenGD77-CP (OpenGD77 to CSV v3.1), reorganized and updated it with new items and converted the CVSs back to an OpenGD77-CP. The CSVs are looking fine as I can see and the conversion back to a .g77 file works well.
The OpenGD77 CPS opened the CP without problems, all looks as expected, but there appeared seven "phantom" zones now in the zone list after programming into the radio (RD-5R and GD-77) with no content, invisible at the CSVs and the CPS.

I know this is a huge CP with a lot of items. Maybe I scrated at some limits, maybe at Colin's conversion tool, maybe at the CPS, maybe at the radio firmware (buffer overflow, read beyond an array, erroneous pointer arithmetic, something like that).

It would be really great if you could check my CP...

Thank you.

Hi Thorsten,

I had a look at your codeplug and in the part of the codeplug that flags active zones there were 7 additional ones marked as active that did not exist.
I don't know how that happened but I have corrected it.

I can not attach the file to this message so I have temporarily uploaded it to
https://gb3gf.co.uk/Files/Codeplug_Open ... EC_4v0.g77

I won't be leaving the file at that location. Please download it and copy to your own server.

I think I can see where the error occurred, it looks like you used an old codeplug with more than 68 zones as the basis for the new codeplug. So there were some extra zone active flags.
OpenGD77 only has space for 68 Zones, the CPS and my utilities will ignore any extras.
However the extra, unused, Zone Active flags were confusing the firmware.
Normally this would not be a problem because the CPS does not allow more then 68 Zones.

Colin.

Hi Colin,

thanks a million!
Sounds plausible, I did exatly what you described.
File downloaded, can be purged.

I will use that as the new base and update the CP the next days...
