Can you add this problem Roger....
When in L3 mode, if I go to VFO and it’s in FM mode, the squelch is open and white noise is present, even if the squelch is set full... Well that’s what’s happening here tonight. Maybe you could check and see if you can replicate.

Hi Tony
I can't replicate that problem with the squelch on FM at all. Not on the VFO or Channel screens. Perhaps someone else can confirm if it happens for them

Thanks Roger,
I will test a bit more and with another radio.

It would still be nice to stop the Max Headroom effect when moving up and down the channels and groups with the arrow keys in L3 mode. It needs a small delay before the voice announcements start, enough time to navigate without hear Cha Cha Cha Cha. All looking good otherwise. Testing again this weekend using unstable version date 28 June.
Thanks
Tony

I can get this to happen if the VFO is set as a digital channel and the star key press has been used to go to FM mode. If you then move the squelch to zero in the option menu it doesn't open the squelch and it is still at the old value probably 45%. It doesn't happen if you have the VFO set properly as an Analog channel. A number of blind ham users have tripped up on this one.

I think this is the same effect as Tony sees just with different starting values for the squelch. Probably worth checking whether the VFO channel is configured as a digital or analog channe in the CPSl.

Files are now VPL format
Update your CPS if the Voice prompts button is not on the OpenGD77 Support screen
