I noticed the problem after uploading the latest software from 22.04 to GD 77, namely it is not possible to switch the red button between VFO and channel. After pressing this key during listening in the conversation switches to VFO, but there is no longer returning to listening in on the conversation. Only turning the radio off and on again gives you the option to return to the conversation you are listening to.
I can't reproduce this bug.

Please give details of modes and timeslots etc for both the channel and the VFO

When I returned to the firmware version from 18.04 everything was OK. I contacted my friend Piotr SQ7PTE and his version from 22.04 works fine. Also, I do not know what is the reason for this problem, the more that so far it has not occurred on my GD77. Generally, I work with a hotspot at 432 and 439.600MHz. Until now, I worked exactly under the same conditions and there were no such problems, the first such case. I work on a two-slot hotspot and the slot number did not matter.

In CPS OpenGD there is a Firmware loader tab in which there are 4 radio models to choose from and the Select a File & Update button to choose from and it is understandable and what the button labeled Download & Update is for. I suppose the file is downloaded from the internet, because when I did this function, I downloaded the file to GD77 from 11.04. In addition, as I wrote earlier in the case of RD-5R I can not load the indicated file with the Select a File function. Unfortunately, nothing happens.

Don't use the CPS to download the firmware. If you do that, you will not get this version, because its a pre-release.

Also the RD-5R version is still a work in progress, and does not function correctly

Thanks for the help.
Twice I tried to upload the firmware from 22.04 and finally the radio started to work normally. There had to be a problem uploading the file and hence the fault that disappeared as soon as it appeared.

I also had difficulty after trying to use the Firmware Loader in the CPS to update the RD-5R.

I think that the USB interface may have been left in an unusual state after I installed the latest CPS and had updated both GD77 and DM1801 radios. I got to the RD-5R and it just sat there.

Eventually, I rebooted the machine, switched to the standalone firmware loader and was able to get it to communicate with the RD-5R. I think that the firmware loader radio detect reported it was connected to a DM1801 instead of a RD-5R.

TOC does need to be updated in the manual, but this is not my area of expertise and the guys who were updating the manual now have other commitments
