Update 16th Feb
Re: Update 16th Feb
Hi Roger,
I installed the 2_16_2020 version into both of my radios and the digital noise anomalies from the previous release are no longer present. The current "latest" is working beautifully with both radios.

Yeah, noise problem has gone. But I still don't have the guts to put the firmware onto my GD77 hotspot.

Re: Update 16th Feb
Hi everyone.
I've been using this latest version for a few hours and I wanted to comment, before seeing the last comments telling about the OPENGD77 DMR noise.
I've noticed that this bug is much less frequent (but still here) BUT it is replaced by something else. What I ear is not totally fluent. There are frequent small flaws in the modulation, small hiccups instead. It is less agressive though but still not perfect.
I have compared with another GD77 with official firmware listening to the same hotspot at the same time to be sure.
I really hope that the cause will be found as this firmware totally changes the user experience

Re: Update 16th Feb
I reverted the file which caused this bug.
If there are other noises, then its a completely different bug.

Re: Update 16th Feb
The "old" bug can still be revealed when switching like that :
Dont know if it is the same bug or not, but it sounds exactly the same

Re: Update 16th Feb
This bug is still active when I am moving and when the RX level is weak
Here I was in my elevator

This is not new with this release but something is new, it happens that the loudspeaker keeps off though it should not. In this case I have to switch off then on the GD77

yes, the same thing happens to me, with the car, and outside antenna. In areas where the signal is S9 or higher, if the signal drops fast, the radio cuts off constantly.
I want to see if the official firmware does the same ... I'll try to compare what happens.
