Latest update - 17th December

Post by VK3KYY » Tue Dec 17, 2019 4:11 am

I've updated the Latest version

https://github.com/rogerclarkmelbourne/ ... latest.sgl

Changes since the last version are :-
  • Battery level graph - From Daniel
    OpenGD77-battery-graph.png
    OpenGD77-battery-graph.png (5.74 KiB) Viewed 5316 times
On the Battery screen, press the Down arrow to view the graph and press the Up arrow to go back to the normal battery screen.
Currently the horizontal scale is just over 1 hour, but we could change this to a longer timescale if people think that approximately 1 hour is too short.

Please post your feedback on this.
  • Fixes for Private Call display - From Alex
  • Updated Finnish language texts - From OZ1MAX
  • Added Polish language support from SQ7PTE with big changes to the fonts by Daniel
  • Spanish language updates - From EA5SW

Note.
The code is compiled with DMR code optimisation disabled, as this seems to give less audio problems.
Also. One change by Alex, to associated with the TS display and control has not made it into this release because I have not had enough time to evaluate it.

I've not had time to investigate or fix any of the other bugs, due to the demands of my day job taking up more time than normal.

Thanks

The only code change was the battery display and the change to the fonts, and I tested both of these, leaving the radio running , not on charge, and the battery indicator went down as expected.

I'll wait for the polish guys to confirm whether the Polish language changes, work ok ;-)

Hi,

I've checked the Polish and I think we will get another update, some strings are still too long (in various options locations).
And since I don't know a single word of Polish, I can't shorten/replace them by myself.

Cheers.

The battery level graph from Daniel is a good idea :)

But how about to combine the two screens to one, maybe like:

The 12-17-2019 release runs fine here. The battery graph is nice to look at and might be helpful for evaluating a battery pack that may be getting weak in the useful duration department. I have no thoughts on the horizontal timescale plot but for battery evaluation perhaps longer (8 hours? - 12 hours?) might be be more useful.

Thanks for the 12-17-2019 FW release!
