Hi Paolo,
try populating the first column with the correct sequential numbering.
So if you are importing 3 contacts cell A1 is the header, A2=1, A3=2, A4=4 and so on.
It worked for me, hope it makes sense.

The CSV I generate looks pretty funky now that I look at it, but it imports fine. I wonder if you have some bad data somewhere? Where is this error, in the CPS itself?

Try copying the file a few times, one of them remove the last half of the file, another the first half, etc, and see if it imports.

BTW, sample from CSV that I just imported the other day.. Not sure where the <br>'s are coming from, that's odd, but it doesn't seem to matter.

Maximum digital contacts is 1024, but you should be using the DMR ID system not the Digital Contacts if you simply want to display other people's callsigns and names. The Digital Contacts are for TG's and people you want to make Private Calls to.

The number of DMR ID's that the GD-77 can store dependant on the total number of characters you want per ID record.
The default number of characters is set to 15, and from memory, I think this allows around 13k DMR ID's

If you just want callsigns and change the number of characters to 6, it will obviously fit in twice as many

The GD-77 only has 1Mb of memory, and a large majority of the memory is allocated to other things like the codeplug and calibration data and a load of redundant data (like font bitmaps) which are used if the operator re-installs the official firmware.

I'm currently working on a way to use more than 1Mb memory, as I know some people have been upgrading their GD77 to 8Mb, by replacing the memory chip, and also the DM-1801 has 2Mb. But these features are not available yet and will not benefit most GD77 users

Thanks for the info! I wasn't sure if the 77 could hold the entire database like the MD-380's could.
Very nice firmware BTW.!
