Post by GM1YME » Wed Feb 26, 2020 3:58 pm

I'm getting a malware/virus warning with the CPS downloaded from

A. You need to use the OpenGD77 CPS, (including the USB driver needed for the OpenGD77) which can be downloaded from here

I'm not entirely sure what virus scanning method Firefox is now using.

My antivirus does not report the file has having a virus.

The world of antivirus protection seems to be quite broken.

If you upload the file to https://www.virustotal.com you'll see the file gets detected by about 16 antivirus programs as a virus, but as different viruses, and some only say they have a 60% confidence rating they have actually detected a virus.

Whereas major companies like McAfee and Trend and Sophos and Microsoft say it doesn't have a virus.

avast does check it, but it always comes back clean.

some others just seem to be over-protective
