Issue with calibration

Post by KU4ZD » Sat Nov 23, 2019 6:39 pm

I messed something up with my calibration in the CPS. I made a change and save the back up files. After I did I tried to program the radio and I am getting this message. "The !/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request". I am not able to program the radio. I did have a old back up file (calibration) that I tried to load but got a message it was the wrong size. I have also tried a factory reset. What esle can I do? I tried to load the factory software and it loads and works fine, code plugs load and work fine with that.

Strange

Did you try closing the cps and disconnecting and reconnecting the USB, or rebooting your PC and the GD77 etc

Windows gets very confused if a Com port is interrupted in any way, while it has the port open

Yes I did. The cps works ok to load the factory firmware and factory code plug to the radio. It also works on my second radio with your firmware. I reloaded the firmware a numer of times shutting down each time. I did a factory reset.

Did you try going back to an older OpenGD77 firmware?

Ok, I loaded the CPS you had on gubhub (in the zipped file) that is dated 11/12/2019 and that does let me load my cps file into the radio. I also went back to a older firmware version 11/12/2019 to see how that will work with the TG issue, I am waiting for some traffic to come on the repeater now.
I did go back the most current version of the CPS with the older firmware loaded and it still will not let me download nor upload cps files.

Hi Ken

Oops

Looks like I screwed up something in the CPS or the firmware.

I'll investigate

I just did a test and uploaded and downloaded the codeplug and backed up everything and it was all OK.

Also the Calibration screen does read and write OK, but I am running newer firmware so there could be some miss-match

I was waiting to release until I'd fixed some problems in the scanning, but I'll release a new Latest version with Colins changes, and I'll make the other changes later

Try downloading the new Latest again and also make sure you download the CPS again as I updated it slightly
