It happened to me twice today within an hour. Had to reboot pistar and radio to get things going again. Was watching it stuck in TX but the radio was not transmitting. Hope that helps

AFAIK, you don't need to reboot anything, just TX with your HT and GD77 hotspot along with Pi-Star will resume normal operation.

Does this mean the Hotspot stopped responding ?

I have a feeling perhaps it’s reporting it’s transmitting when it is no longer transmitting

Roger,
I have noticed that when the pi-star is stuck in tx no transmissions come through. I have two different hotspots (GD77,DVMEGA) and it did happen on the dvmega once as well. It has not happened in sometime but it did the same thing. However a quick key on my radio did bring it back and transmissions were able to come through. Refreshing the page does nothing. Rebooting the raspberry pi fixes this as well. If you would like I can give you access to my hotspot and you can look at anything that might help.
'
Update: I have not touched anything as far as a quick key or rebooting. I have navigated through the pages of pistar and that did not change anything. So pistar seems to be still responding. I can even SSH into it without and issue. I did some searching on the pistar forum but did not find anything. Still looking though.

Its hard to know whats going on without being able to see the traffic between the Hotspot and MMDVHost

Specifically, whether the HS is reporting to MMDVMHost that its still transmitting.
MMDVMHost polls the HS several times a second asking what its currently doing and the size of buffer available for MMDVMHost to send data into.

Did you find a way to make the HS get into this condition ?

Roger
I have tried several times to get this to go into tx but it seems that leaving it alone does it, meaning, not touching anything for an hour or more it does it on its own. Mine is currently showing in tx and I have not touched it. Waiting to see if it does it on its own. If it helps like I said I can give you full access to mine and I will leave it as is so you can look into this. Just let me know.

OK

Thats interesting.

Normally the bugs we had in the Tier1 hotspot were caused by things like intermittent signals / dropouts / rapid re-keying of the PTT etc

Roger,
Once again i did a quick key and it came back. I then left it alone for a bit (about 2 hours) and once again it is stuck in tx. The radio is not keyed up so that is a good thing

What do you mean by "quick key" ?
