[Operator error] v.0.1.0 HS Mode: Missing IP address
[Operator error] v.0.1.0 HS Mode: Missing IP address
IIRC, at some point a week or two ago, the Hotspote mode started displaying the node's IP address while the radio was idle.
This is now blank with installation of version v0.1.0.
Is this a new setting, or has it been dropped accidentally?
Thanks, Marc

Re: v.0.1.0 HS Mode: Missing IP address
Hi Marc,
Just as a reminder, the requiremenst is to run Pi-Star 4.1-RCx version (officlal), or using my own fork for older Pi-Star (3.4.x) binary repository.
Also, in mmdvmhost ini file, CAST display driver should be set in [General]::Display.
Cheers.

I just checked locally, and the IP is still displayed.

Re: v.0.1.0 HS Mode: Missing IP address
Just a reminder about changing things in the the Expert->MMDVMHost settings in PiStar.
If you subsequently change any settings using the normal Configuration screen, or even just press any of the "Apply Changes" buttons even if you have not changed anything, the Display type will be reverted to None by PiStar because the Cast display type is not in the selectable list.

Hi,
Yes, I forgot that one, the official dashboard doesn't supports CAST display driver. Thanks for the reminder Roger.
Cheers.

Re: v.0.1.0 HS Mode: Missing IP address
Hi Daniel.
IMHO its a rather big bug in PiStar that it overwrites a lot of the settings in that can be entered in the Expert MMDVMHost screen, if you press Apply Changes on the normal Configuration screen.
Its not just the display type which it can overwrite its many other setting

Hi Roger,

Yeah, it's overwriting a lot of parameters, depending of the options you use/select. I think it's because it is (still I guess) for beginners, trying to make things easier for them. But in the end, that can be annoying (e.g. I removed this behavior for DMR+ options, as it got cleared each time I switched DMRGateway usage on and off).VK3KYY wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 10:17 amHi Daniel.

I forgot about the "Cast" driver.... back to the configuration. Marc
