Maybe some radios RSSI readings are slower than others. In which case we may need to introduce the user selectable scan speed that we have discussed before.

Yes.
I think scan sampling period as an option would be a good idea.

But the problem in this case may be QRM etc

hi guys, i think i solved the problem.
On analogue channels where the scan did not stop, it was set by cps "Opengd77 squelch level" to 40%. Turning them all off by cps and setting 20% the squelch by radio for the three bands, now the scan stops when it finds a qso.
thanks and sorry if I made you waste time.

glad you got it sorted. :)

I must admit my analogue channel squelch levels are set in the cps, but mine are all individually set at 15 %.
so I assume that overrides the radio settings which I have left at the default 45 %.

The three squelch levels in the menu are the default settings.
These are used when a channel does not have its own squelch setting.
If a channel has its own setting then it will override the defaults.

It was done like this to allow existing codeplugs from the official firmware to work correctly as it did not support variable squelch levels.
