TG * button
TG * button
hi all, just curious. I have two DMR channels allocated to TG9. one is TS1 the other TS2. both are correct in their respective channels entry in the CPS, however pressing * changes both of them to either ts1 or ts2, and I cant seem to get them back to their respective Time Slots. Even reloading the code plug doesn't seem to override it.
I'm not too worried, its just strange.
It used to work, any ideas??
incidentally, i have just discovered that # # # select alternative contact then green then right arrow....seems to reset it
strange

Re: TG * button
The override logic is complex, and the users override takes priority, but I agree there needs to be a way to remove the user override.
Any ideas which key combinations would work.

Re: TG * button
Btw.
It’s not by design. But to remove a TG Override, press # Green.
This actually enters zero as the TG, But the firmware uses 0 TG to mean that there is no TG override.
Ah.
I just had an idea...
Long press on the Star key .To remove TS override ??

Re: TG * button
I will look at doing something to display that the radio is in TS override and also a way to turn it off
Re: TG * button
ok thanks, its not urgent, i can still work round it
Re: TG * button
Hi Ken
Can you explain where this is happening.
I just checked and what should be happening is that if you have channels in your TG list (aka Rx Group) and have assigned an override, the override on that channel should take priority over the manual TS override
e.g. I have TG9 with no override but the channels on either side of it have TS overrides
i.e the order of my channels is
TG 3809 TS1
TG 9 (no override)
TG 505 TS2
When on TG 505 which is on TS2, if I press * to change to TS1 and goto TG 9 by pressing the Left arrow, the radio stays on TS1 because TG 9 doesnt have an override.
If I'm on TG 505 TS2 and push Left then the TG 9 will be TS2 as thats the previous TS
Likewise if I goto my TG 3809 channel which is TS1 and press Right arrow, to goto the TG 9 channel, it says on TS1
And if I'm on TG 3809 and change to TS2 then Right arrow to TG 9 it stays on TS 2
So I think this is working already, and the TS override is working
But. I suppose just to add to the complication, are you filtering by TS ? If you are, then perhaps this is whats confusing, as pressing the Blue button to change to the TG and TS of the incoming signal will also remove the TS override and set the TS to the TS of the incoming signal, and this is also handled by the TS override system.
Note. The VFO and the Channel screen have their own separate TS override.
But VFO A and VFO B share the same TS override
