[Fixed by changes to the keypad code] Radio Locks in boot

Post by OZ1MAX » Sat Nov 30, 2019 3:20 pm

hey ..

Anyone tried the same problem, when you turn on the radio, it locks up, can´t do anything, turning it on and off some times helps sometimes .. using the latest firmware ..

Yes, I see the same behavior, usually with the first power on of the day. It comes up and looks fine, but the keypad does not respond. Pressing the orange button on top will open the menu, but it gets stuck there. As you said, powering it down and then starting up again usually brings it right to life. Now and then it needs to be cycled twice but mine has never needed more than that. Once the radio has run for a few minutes it behaves normally for the rest of the day through several power on cycles.

Happens to my gd77 usually on its first boot of the day. Might have something to do with charge level, as I often encounter it when powering up after charging overnight.

Latest firmware too.

I have not seen that problem

BTW.

You can reset the settings back to defaults by holding the Blue key when booting, but I don’t think it would help in this instance

What do you do to recover.

What sort of lock do you mean.

No keypad or not even the boot screen ?
