Older GD77 Right key issue

Post by OH1E » Sat Nov 30, 2019 10:22 am

For people who dont know, i did have issue when received dmr signal, the radio itself pressed randomly right key. radio is very old, probably first batches.

After updating latest firmware, this issue seems to be gone, at least after testing awhile or it does very rarely, but what i have testing it now it done it 0 times.
There is something big changed to firmware? im just curios what this afterall caused.

Ask Alex DL4LEX, because he changed the key handling

BTW. there is currently a new bug where the keypad sometimes completely locks up.

If Alex can't find the bug, I will attempt to find the bug tomorrow (as I'm on UTC + 11 at the moment, so its Saturday night)

I will solder me JLink cables and then check the keypad code again.

Possibly fixed in the newer releases which have the pullup resistors enabled inside the MCU for the key row pins

OK

I hoped the latest versions with the pullup resistors enabled on the key inputs would have fixed this, but it must have a different cause

Did you try to power on while holding blue button?

This resets the saved settings and sometimes helps.
