[Fix in progress] TG Entry ####

Post by EA3BIL » Wed Nov 27, 2019 12:58 am

Hi,

Here we go...

While at TG entry (4 times # ):

By pressing UP value increases. OK
By pressing DOWN value decreases. OK
If DOWN is pressed when value 1 shown, it goes to 0.

If we press GREEN, value (of course) is not accepted.

Could it be possible to "stop" on 1 instead on 0 ??

Sorry to bring this "black to live"...

TG, PC and Own ID entry do not Timeout.

Could they "Timeout" if no validation nor cancel happens in xx time ??

Thank you !!

I don't see why it would be useful (I don't want my HT canceling my 9990, or whatever TG/PC i set).
Pressing left or right arrow do the job, when I want to cancel that setting.

Cheers.

I thought perhaps they mean, timeout during data entry.

But I don’t want that either.

Sorry for delay in answering... I've been really busy.

Yep, I meant during data entry.

If left on a partially keyed data for more than 30secs it makes sense to have the entry auto-cancelled/validated.
In other way, radio will remain awaiting validation/cancelation it CAN'T show activity information and backlight does not behave correctly neither.
Isn't it ?

This is a different request.

I don't see why you can't finish entering the TG.

Why can't you just press the Red button.
