How did you specify to use only 12 characters in the display? And that number of contacts seems to be far more than can be supported, so I'm curious how you did that.W1AEX wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 3:16 pmAlex and Mike,
I just installed an updated DMR-ID list using the CPS (US: regions 11 and 31 @ 60 days, Canada region 302 @ 30 days, Australia region 50 @ 30 days, all using 12 characters in the display) and I am scanning the local ARES and DMARC repeaters where the TG: 0 and ID: 0 problem was persistent.

TG and ID issue with Repeater
Re: TG and ID issue with Repeater
Re: TG and ID issue with Repeater
I created a pull request for my changes.
We have to see what happens with the DMR ID lookups, but anyway it seems to solve the TG 0 problem.
An export function for the DMR database would be nice, but I did not know how complicate this would be to include into the CPS. I never looked at the source code. I think it is coded in .NET and I have never used that.
But if the DMR ID lookup works, there would be no need to export.

Re: TG and ID issue with Repeater
Hallo
I have 2x GD-77 in operation, 1 device as a hotspot and one for normal operation.
I often had the TG: 0 problem and also tested Alex's new firmware.
With GD-7 hotspot only in the BM-Network so far everything is ok here, no TG: 0 or other problems.
I keep testing ...

Re: TG and ID issue with Repeater
Alex,
OK, I did not find KB1IQY [3132898] in my installed database because he had been inactive for 148 days and my filter only went out for 60 days. Sorry about that! Based upon what I am seeing, it looks like you have this problem fixed Alex. Another station just transmitted on NA and all the correct information was present. I'll look forward to what Mike sees from his end.

Re: TG and ID issue with Repeater
*facepalm*
I was looking in "Download contacts" not "DMR ID". My bad
Re: TG and ID issue with Repeater
I just updated both of my radio's ID data bases to the same as Rob has in his (seems like a good data base to use). I am testing with one radio set to a local DMR+ repeater and the other one is scanning four DMR+ repeaters and my hotspot that is on the Brandmeister network right now.
I will keep testing but from what I am seeing so far, the talk groups are showing correct. The calls are coming up when they are in the ID database or if not the ID is coming up. The information is being saved to last heard. All seems like it is working as it should. I will keep testing but it looks like this issues that really has been a real bug has been fixed. Nice work guys, Thank you.
I did notice, that once, while there was some digital break up (network problem) the "waiting" notice came up while the ID went away, that is really nice. Then the ID and TG showed back up. That is a really nice addition.

Re: TG and ID issue with Repeater
Thank you for the update, it sounds like they have found and solved the problem.

Re: TG and ID issue with Repeater
I wasn't sure if this message is useful once the main problem was solved. But now I think we should keep it.
Re: TG and ID issue with Repeater
Yes I think it is handy to have in there. I would keep it
Thank you for fixing this problem. All our local repeaters are DMR+ and the issue was on all of them. This really was a big bug for us
