Hi All, Tony G0NHF here,
Just thought I had better say hello and let everyone know I am now a member of this fine board.
Licensed for over 30 years now. I’ve used lots of modes over the years, CW, RTTY, SSTV, Fast Scan TV on 23cm, AX25 more commonly known as packet radio, BPQnode, FBB BBS, Digicom and Baycom. Started off on radio with a CBM64 and Dragon32 for RTTY, many years ago in the late eighties. More recently I have been using DMR on an MD380 and the GD77. Also have various flavours of hotspot all based on the pi-star model, some using pi-zero and others on pi3 boards.
My GD77 was the first DMR radio, closely followed by the MD380. I now have several GD77 units all using various firmware.
These days I don’t have as much time to dedicate to the hobby as I might like, but still try to keep in touch with developments as and where possible.
I’m here to keep tabs on the wonderful transformation of the GD77 using OpenGD77. How fantastic it is, and it keeps getting better still.
A big thank you to all the team who are developing OpenGD77. It really makes the GD77 much easier to navigate and use.
Right, I think that will do for now.
Best regards, Tony G0NHF (Derbyshire UK)
