Greetings from the massive metropolis of Colbert, GA!
Ok, so I decided to tinker with DMR and bought this GD-77 on sale. Seems decent considering that I paid something like US$66.50 for it new.
Then I find out about this OpenGD77 firmware and I start thinking:
- Maybe I can do something with this.
- Hey, I know some embedded software development maybe I can help with that.
- Looks like these guys could use a "marketing" type web site with some install and getting started docs. i could help with that.
In short, I haven't installed this yet but I'm willing to help. (Still looking around to find the getting started info.)
BTW, links to software in the FAQ on the forum are broken links.

Welcome! What is your amateur callsign?
I'll work on updating the links in the FAQ- thanks for the heads up!

Depends in the topic, but probably in feature requests, bug reports, etc. Search for topics of interest to see where similar stuff is posted. We can always move a post to another category if need be.SparkyWirez wrote: ↑Sun Dec 22, 2019 5:51 amKV0A (K V zero A) is my callsign.

I'm willing to contribute... help fix bugs etc. I'm kind of a novice at embedded but I've done a tiny bit of ARM STM32. But I didn't see a CONTRIBUTING file so I'm not sure where to start.
Other stuff I know how to do:
- I could create a gitpages web site. I know Jekyll and Bootstrap. once created the site would be easy for people to update.
- I'm familiar with gituhb actions for CI purposes. Here's some github CI I just set up https://github.com/joelday/papyrus-lang/actions (I also know how to create custom github actions)
- I'm willing to write up a CONTRIBUTING.md file once I know what needs to go in it (build/debug info, DMR spec info, etc.)
Is there a development chat on something like IRC, discord, or slack? I also know how to set that stuff up.
