best practice - new config on-the-go ?

Post by DL3DCM » Sun Jul 26, 2020 5:58 pm

Hi,
I was using DMR (with non-OpenGD77) but struggled to configure a new setting for "Zone -> TG" on the go, when traveling. It always requires a notebook to adapt my codeplug.
As I am considering to purchase a GD77 to use it with OpenGD77, will this firmware allow new setups for Zones and TG-assignments on-the-go without a notebook? How does it work, as I did not find any hint in the manual?

You can add channels from VFO screen, and you can add contacts (aka TG/PC) from the menus.
So, a computer is not needed to add or modify channel/contact.

Cheers.
