Hi,

My name is Andrew and I'm from San Diego and my callsign is KM6RYE. I recently have been looking at DMR and have a GD-77. I heard about OpenGD77 and thought I would take a look into it.

Hi, and welcome to a great project.

You'll find that Roger and the team's work is of very high quality, and that the firmware load process is reliable and solid. Just follow the directions to set things up properly on your computer.

There are a number of major improvements in the way you configure codeplugs using the OpenGD77 CPS (be sure to use the one for the OpenGD77 firmware, not the "Community Edition" which is for radios with the factory firmware).

OpenGD77 changes things for much more efficient configuration of your radio, especially for working with GroupIDs on repeater and hotspot network resources.

Jump right in and enjoy! g
