This is maybe the most convincing reason to disable TX on 220.As if that wasn’t reason enough, the second harmonic output from attempted transmissions here is several watts, and you could be causing severe interference to other services in the UHF band.

Power limit needed for 220 MHz?
I notice that the firmware allows transmission on the 220 MHz / 1.25m band. I'm curious if that's been found to be safe. From http://members.optuszoo.com.au/jason.reilly1/GD77mods.htm I can see that the radio chip is supposed to be able to do it, but there are also warnings there: But what about tra...

Re: [Proposal] RX Frequency and Offset in Channel Mode
Can it be invoked then on-the-fly? Say press [some button] + [?] to show frequency somewhere until toggled again? SK1 already shows the frequencies etc. so I don't think Roger et. al. would accept another hotkey that does basically the same thing. Making it optional does seem like a good idea (defa...

Re: NA7Q - Unofficial Firmware Build 1/4/20
Do you build your own and keep it up to date? I see you're a local to me of Washington. Small world. I don't plan to keep publishing new builds, but I do build it for myself regularly. As there seems to be some interest in improving the feature I'll post builds with what I'm trying on my other thre...

Re: [Proposal] RX Frequency and Offset in Channel Mode
Thanks for the feedback! I just don't see DMR channels being config'd on the fly. While traveling I'm more likely to find something in RepeaterBook on my phone and program it by hand than pull out my Windows laptop to use the CPS. Add CC and VFO scanning and you might even find a repeater without th...

Re: [Proposal] RX Frequency and Offset in Channel Mode
Inspired by NA7Q's unofficial firmware I thought I'd post a build of my RX+Offset footer patch here in case anyone wanted to try it and see if they agree it's worth having in the official firmware. I can see making it optional if there are folks who don't like having it on all the time. To me it's r...

Re: NA7Q - Unofficial Firmware Build 1/4/20
It has minor Interface changes for the English language settings to fit my personal likes. Interesting. I have a minor change to the Channel mode UI that I keep on a branch and rebase to master frequently - it adds the RX frequency and TX offset if any to the very bottom of the display. I tried to ...
