Should we have a weekly openGD77 net?
Any thoughts? Maybe just to get to know each other? I'm thinking we could have a weekly topic, content, or guest for Q&A, but it could be a simple roundtable. We do have a BrandMeister TalkGroup, 98997. I host a daily club roll call at TG51518 at 0130H-0200H UTC, and I get around 15-20 checkins duri...

How are you dealing with the COVID-19 related lockdowns?
Hi everyone! Just thought to post here, so we can talk about how we are dealing with COVID-19. How is everyone doing? In my city, we are on enhanced community quarantine--on the second week now. The entire Luzon island in the Philippines is on such lockdown. We are required to stay at home, although...

Re: New channel edits not being saved
Thanks for the update. I listed this in the documentation to-do.
Also, regarding overwriting channels, that's a good idea, so we don't accidentally overwrite our existing channel details.

But when I switch channels, the item above is still "New Channel 35" I'm using March 15 firmware bc46565

Re: Update 15th March

Re: GD-77 vs Baofeng DM-1801 teardown
I think this ends my attempt to port to the DMR-1801, because I can’t can’t justify spending another $100+ on a radio I will probably never use. I would guess the bigger justification is whether there is enough demand among 1801 users for custom firmware, compared to the already big/growing communi...

Re: Update 6th March
Is it just me, or is the scan significantly slower now in digital mode than before? I recall that a few updates back, it was at the same speed as analog scan. I think this change occurred around the time when the RSSI bar started appearing even when DMR traffic was idle. I noticed that scan would s...
