Re: Incorrect identification of incoming Private Call

Ah. OK. You mean -.-.- My total misunderstanding ;-) There is a bug with the PC thing, but thats another problem TA is enabled by default, but is secondary to the internal database, because by default BM only sends the Callsign and not the name, unless the operator updates their Self Care page/ I pr...

Re: Hello from K7XRL

Yes. The hardware in the GD-77 is actually very good. The Rx is actually very sensitive and outperforms many more expensive radios. The main limitations are the small amount of Flash memory (1Mb) and the small display. I did approach Radiodidty about getting them to produce a version with 8Mb Flash ...

Re: Incorrect identification of incoming Private Call

Someone asked me to add a notification tone for the private call so that the could leave the radio turned on with the volume up, but not listening to a TG. I added code to key a "P" .--. but they said that was too short, so I changed it to PC .--. -.-. However the problem goes back to the general pr...

Re:Hotspot mode - Apparently stuck in TX

I think the value show in PiStar is from the value it gets back from the Hotspot when it sends the GetStatus command, but I'll need to double check The only way to really know, may be to enable more logging in PiStar and look at the MMDVMHost log file. The code that returns whether the hotspot is tr...

Re: Problem with the MD-380 radio

Re: Calibration OK. I don't know why, but the OpenGD77 firmware needs the calibration to me more accurate in the Tier2 version. Often the factory calibration for the radio is not correct and causes problems. Sometimes disabling the calibration and therefore using average settings, is actually better...

Re: Incorrect identification of incoming Private Call

Colin No. I think its the "PC" that is sent to indicate an incoming private call. For some reason, occasionally the ID detection system seems to think there is an incoming private call when there isn't I think this may happen more when using reflectors, but its very intermittent for me, so hard to fix

Re: Apparently stuck in TX

OK.

If you can find a reliable way to make this happen it would be a great help, as it makes it would allow me to replicate the bug on my radio and then I can try to fix it

Re: Problem with the MD-380 radio

Sorry. Its very difficult for me to know the precise problem

I can only attempt to fix problems which happen for me.

I will try my MD-380 later , and some other radios, later today, to see if I can replicate the problem.
