just an observation, scanning in channel mode, pushing left/right/up produces a 'bleep', however, in vfo mode, no bleep is heard.
is this intentional?.

hi, i looked in the cps at my digital channels and the 'open GD77 Squelch Level' was at 15% on all my digitalchannels.
I changed them all to 'disabled' and re=loaded the 1422 firmware.
green led now works normally.

thanks, that has cured the green led problem.
my default squelch settings in the options menu have been 45% since the option was added.

If you switch to FM mode and close the squelch , the LED should go out I can't see another good way to do this, apart from to use some arbitrary value as the minimum signal level, but that doesn't seem like a good idea, as everyone has a different amount of background signal level. yes the led does...
