Re: RD-5R codeplug to OpenRD-5R codeplug

Well yes this will work UNTIL you have a TG that on one repeater is on one TS and on another repeater is on the other TS. -> We have 9 DMR repeaters on three different networks in my local area, and (ehem) this configuring the TG to a specific TS and a repeater to ONLY ONE channel (setting) would b...

Hey Bob (W9YA):

Thanks for including your codeplug with your message.

It is easier for me to learn a new codeplug CPS programer by example and yours now shows me how it works!

Sure beats trying, mistakenly, to open .bin files in the CPS program! hahaha

Re: Power supply for MD-9600

Um, I run my 9600's at 25w ... and that so just about any supply that is handy will work f.b. om. That power reduction is not enough to worry about as that power level works well enough for everything I need a high(er) power radio to do when using my 9600s for either base station or mobile. The repe...

Re: Upload codeplug on Linux

Well, perhaps I spoke too soon.... I've tried uploading codeplugs to both a rt3s and a dm1701. Alas these older python programs are NOT replacing the codeplug even though the display on the terminal AND the display on the radio does read (during the uploading) that the codeplug is being written to t...

Re: Scan indicator and linked zones

The Mode indicator (Upper Left) does blink when scan is enabled. The reception of a signal is indicated by the "green" led.

I"M very happy with this, btw. i.e, Wrks f.b. om.

Re: TYT MD-9600 discontinued? [No]

I ordered one of these P.S. plus Radio specials when this vendor first started offering it. Sadly the radio was over 4 years old based on the serial number (which starts with the date of manufacture coded into it). The vendor was great about taking the shipment back, so I had no reason to complain. ...

Re: Using dev environment to expand CTCSS/DCS tone list.

No, frankly, I do not understand, and it's insulting that you say I haven't read the squelch control standards. I'm throwing my arms in the air here. My question was "How do I roll my own OGD77 to utilize non-standard tone controls, because I need that capability due to nearly all HTs using non-sta...
