Thanks
That’s how it’s supposed to work.
My pc has a phantom COM1 which doesn’t exist on the hardware and I can select this to test for what happens when I try to use an invalid Com port number , and I tried to make it display an error message rathe than to hang or crash

Re: The "mW" difference between versions
Did you calibrate your power levels for 1W and 5W using the calibration screen in the CPS ?
In the Tier2 version the official calibration data stored in Flash is used, however the offical data is often completely incorrect

Re: key long and key rpt
Key repeat is the time period between automatic repeat of the same key if you hold it down
Long key is for new features where holding the button for a long time has a different effect, but this not used yet

Re: Battery voltage percentage fluctuation
BTW. I changed the averaging period, from 1 minute to 2 minutes. This will mean if you transmit on high power for about 2 minutes then note the battery percentage, then turn the radio off and on again, the percentage will not be the same as initially it will be the direct reading of a few samples, n...

Re: Battery voltage percentage fluctuation
I think 8.2V is a reasonable compromise. I know because of some problems with the audio amplifier oscillating, people have modified their charger so that the voltage does not exceed 8V, but this will reduce the battery capacity by at least 10%, so I am not going to change the 100% value to 7.9V as i...

Re: Battery voltage percentage fluctuation
In the latest version, I changed it so that rather than 8.3V = 100% , now 8.2V = 100%
My radio now normally displays 100% when in the charger, but if I transmit the value will reduce as the battery voltage decreases

Re: Unable to read/program GD-77 using OpenGD77 firmware
BTW. I have a feeling that although the driver seems to be installed its not actually working
Try removing the driver and re-installing it
