Re: NA7Q - Unofficial Firmware Build [2/26]

Single / double isn't clear now that new filters are in place with CC filtering. I took the AnyTone based approach. They use Single timeslot or Double (dual/both) timeslots options in their monitor mode filtering. This approach made more sense to me. I'll likely change the names in the coming builds...

What was wrong with the battery % char ?

Did you remove it ?
Correct. I have it removed in my versions. For the longest time on my phones and other portable devices, I've always just displayed the battery percentage as a number with no % character. I do that here too. :)

Re: Experimental version with option to disable CC filtering

Okay. So I figured out the issue. I find it quite interesting. Set the GD77 to RX a tone of 67. Use another radio and transmit on 67.0, you hear the transmitting audio on the GD77, right? Now set the transmitting radio on 69.3. Now you shouldn't hear the transmitting station on the GD77, right? Well...

Re: Experimental version with option to disable CC filtering

Here is another experimental version, with changes from both Colin G4EML and I This version sets the CC to the detected CC, because the DMR chip does not seem to decode the Talker Alias if CC set into the DMR chip is not the CC of the received signal. I found that Colin's version was prone to leavi...

Re: Experimental version with option to disable CC filtering

I suppose I should clarify a bit. Using my hotspot, I hear a small amount of noise at the ends if filtering is off, annoying but tolerable-ish. But when switching between the various filters while a station is talking, it gets a lovely high pitched screech that's constant until I turn the radio off ...

I just tried the latest version and have no garbled noise anymore.
I just tested with my radio, and holy cow. It's still pretty horrendous using my hotspot. Very experimental.

Re: Experimental version with option to disable CC filtering

Bow howdy, some of the horrendous noise I heard on this was bad. I was listening to my hotspot with my locals talking, and I decided to switch between each of the settings to see what happened. A couple different times as I switched between each filtering level a noise burst out of nowhere, changing...

Added the latest DMR break up fix. Also added a new shortcut to the RSSI menu using the Blue + 5 button combination.
