I cleared all the contacts, zones, channels, lists and then did the import.

I'm not sure I like the display. To me it looks cluttered at the bottom and with all the lines. I do find the feature useful. Can it be invoked then on-the-fly? Say press [some button] + [?] to show frequency somewhere until toggled again? I really only want to see it sometimes, or when auditing to ...

SOLVED.
This is due to the values in the CSV file being out of range of the frequency range set for the phone.
So I guess they default to 400.00.
Instead, I'd like to see an error raised on import to notify the user.
