Re: MMDVMHost working and running on Mac OSX (was: Has anyone tried to run BlueDV on Mac OSX?)
Of course, an alternative is setting Daemon=1 in the MMDVM.ini file, and then enabling auto-startup of the MMDVMHost binary at login under the Users preference pane.

Re: MMDVMHost working and running on Mac OSX (was: Has anyone tried to run BlueDV on Mac OSX?)
This is what I did to enable MMDVMHost to run at startup. As an alternative, you can create a shortcut and have it start at login. But I think using a service is a more elegant solution. To run MMDVMHost as a service, use launchd: 1. Make sure your MMDVMHost binary is in ~/Applications and your MMDV...

Some thoughts on Baofeng DM-1801
I have shared some thoughts on the radio on my website: https://n2rac.com/baofeng-dm-1801-running-on-opendm1801-opengd77-firmware-1af5471a477f . So far, I'm liking the radio. It's a good buy for 65 bucks (some stuff are cheaper where I'm from, due to our proximity to China). Would I recommend it? Fo...

DIY Cable for Baofeng DM-1801
I just got my first Baofeng DM-1801 today, which I intend to pass on to fellow local hams interested in the project (I have several more ordered -- hey, it's cash on delivery!). I initially had a hard time updating with openDM1801. The package did not come with a cable, so I had to use my own TYT / ...

Maybe not a lot know about the TG. It's easy enough to key into openGD77 using the # key or save it into TG lists, so I'm hoping we get more activity!

Re: TG98977 and Echolink N2RAC-L and YSF 72170 "openGD77"
Speaking of options, I have also established a YSF reflector which is bridged to TalkGroup 98977.
Reflector # 72170 or OPENGD77
Server 128.199.76.58:42000
If you are using a hotspot, do an update to reflect the latest DMR masters and YSF reflectors.

Re: MMDVMHost working and running on Mac OSX (was: Has anyone tried to run BlueDV on Mac OSX?)
I already ran it on Catalina on real mac hardware and El Capitan on a hackintosh, 41IRAC has also got it working on various Macs using the binary I built I've been running it on High Sierra for around 4 months now without much hiccup. I've set MMDVMHost to launch at startup, so it pretty much resta...

TG98977 and Echolink N2RAC-L and YSF 72170 "openGD77"
Hi everyone. I'd like to ask the community's permission here, although I have done the deed already as proof-of-concept. I have linked the openGD77 TalkGroup 98977 to Echolink node N2RAC-L. I thought this might be useful to those of us who would like to do some audio tests but only have one radio to...

Re: Should we have a weekly openGD77 net?
Fairly early on a Sunday morning in my TZ is the late evening in the UK and early evening in the east coast USA. However, I think this would be very early in the morning for Angelo, and also only the middle of the afternoon for the west coast USA. But if it was held at that time i.e Sunday for me a...
