I've never heard of any other Hams using DCDM
Stock GD77 can do DCDM right? Or maybe it was the MD380. I know one of them could. Never used it, however.

Re: Time Slot in Last Heard?

Posted this a while back, following up on it again. I tend to use my OpenGD77 for monitoring over my Anytone 878 because it's so much more power efficient, but it makes it really hard to respond to people on sometimes as I have no idea what timeslot they were just on. A few people use TG9 on the loc...

The Anytone models have roaming feature, but it is incompatible with most repeaters in the Pacific Northwest here that it is discouraged to be used. However, The MotoTRBO ones are good for this.
Actually, the Anytone radios have GPS based Zone Roaming now :)

Re: Larger memory

Sometimes it is better to cut the legs off the chip, and then desolder them individual. One board I even had to use a Dremmel with a mini cutting disk to cut the legs on a large SMD chip Honestly this is how I do legged SMT parts too, just clip each leg and clean up and then replace it. I don't hav...

Re: Proper filtering for private call and RX/TX freq shift questions

What you are describing doesn't sound very ham radio to me, but.. Anywho. Maybe you need to use RX Groups. Set the RX Group you want each radio to communicate on, some will certainly overlap, some may not. TG1 is All Call, TG2 is Relay, TG3 is Water, TG4 is Medical Relay - TG1, 2, 3, 4 Water - TG1, ...

Same, been using the Nov 21 build for a few days now, mostly monitoring, and no problems I've noted.

Re: Thinking about a direct zone preset button.

Ok tkx. QuickKey does not work on my GD77. But Tkx for the awnser. You have to un-assign it first, then assign it. I'm not quite sure why the unassign is required from a factory reset state when none has been assigned before but that's how it works. :) https://github.com/LibreDMR/OpenGD77_UserGuide...

Re: Public Beta (2021 11 14)

Part of the new power saving measures effectively stops the USB working. Eco 0 disables all power saving, hence keeps the USB running. We attempt to detect if the USB is connected to a PC i.e there is an active connection, in which case the extra power saving measures are disabled. But it looks lik...

Re: Public Beta (2021 11 14)

I can't read from my my GD77 with this beta either, can anyone help me figure out what's going on? If I revert to the Nov 10 build, it's fine, but Nov 12 or this Nov it can't from the CPS or QDMR. Huh, okay this is interesting, I've always kept my radio on Eco 4. If I change it to a lower Eco mode,...
