Re: TYT MD-2017 Alpha 2.2
has anyone noticed high power consumption with the opengd77 firmware? at 50mW TX power a 10seconds QSO draws 4% of the battery, that is not good. GPS is enabled, but disabling it does not make any significant difference. LOL. So you are saying your battery will sustain transmission for 100/4 * 10 s...

Re: Power Calibration
Taking advantage of this thread regarding power calibration. Is there any way to calibrate the power values of 1W, 750mW, 500mW... on the TYT MD-9600? No. The official calibration data table, which we also use, only contains 4 values per frequency band. 5W, 10W, 25W and 40W. Values below 5W are ext...

Re: TYT MD-2017 Alpha 2.2
Hello friends! I tried to install this update but the radio keeps turning on and off in an eternal loop. I had to go back to version 26.01.2024, the only one that works on my Retevis RT-82 Has anyone had this same problem? Thanks Rafael PY2GPS Possibly a settings problem. Try turning on with SK2 pr...

Re: New CPS 2024 01 22
You could use: [0-9A-Za-z. ] Which is 64 characters. OK. So we can only use period mark (.) FYI. Only 64 characters in total are allowed because the text needs to be compressed to fit in radios and the compression method is the same as used by some commercial radios where 4 bytes are compressed int...

Re: CPS R2024.03.09.01 Radio Shut Down?
Strange, can you power off a 390 via the green button? I have always used the volume/on-off switch and press sk1 + PTT when powering on radio in DFU mode. Ah. I was confused, I thought this problem was on the MD9600 but I see now its the 390 The ability to reboot back into the firmware is not suppo...

Re: CPS R2024.03.09.01 Radio Shut Down?
I just checked and I'm pretty sure its because the radio was turned off before entering DFU mode i.e If you turn off the radio from the green button on the front panel Then turn off the PSU Then hold Orange and P1 to enter DFU , and while still holding Orange and P1, turn on the PSU... The radio wil...
