Possible HotSpot bug
Hi, In hotspot mode if the person transmitting has packet loss the openGD77 will stop transmitting but pi-star will still show as being in TX. if I connect a MMDVM_HS_HAT on the same pistar version to the same talk group I hear the whole transmission This doesn't impact the next transmission on chan...

Re: Proposed changes to the Australian Amateur Radio license
This seems super strange, The idea of the hobby is experimentation. Sad day if it comes to this.

Re: Droid-Star open development
If there will be issues due to AMBE codec IP, then a lot of DMR-YSF bridges should also be impacted, since many use the md-380 emulation server-side. There's no need for a transcoder for ysf <-> DMR the voice data is in the same codec. DMR/YSF <-> Allstar/p25 etc for example people do (ab)use the m...

Thanks Daniel, I've installed that on both of my GDs
Edit, I just got a repeated frame, after running for just over 2 days.

Re: Hotspot mode - Apparently stuck in TX
Sadly it started doing the random frame again today. but it still doesn't lock up. I just remember to finish with a pc to something local that doesn't matter.
Still thank you so much!

Re: Hotspot mode - Apparently stuck in TX
Ok, with Today's update with the change to remove the buffer. I now just get the old TG/PC show on the screen the repeated packet never gets sent to the Pi. This is perfect! thanks so much everyone for fixing this. For some reason when I put the old Tier 1 firmware on my hotspot is deaf, TX is fine ...

Re: Hotspot mode - Apparently stuck in TX
Thanks so much, it no longer locks up, but I do still get the random single repeated frame of DMR at some point after, this is a repeat of whatever the last TX'd frame was.

Re: Hotspot mode - Apparently stuck in TX
Either the problem is caused by a signal being received which the radio miss interprets as TG0 or the code is somehow deciding to send random data to PiStar that contains an empty DMR buffer which would have the DMR ID and TG = 0 For me I only get the TG0 if I've not keyed up. if I've used the hots...
