Re: NA7Q - Unofficial Firmware Build [2/3]

I went ahead and updated to the latest source which includes some new contacts selection stuff, and fixed the issue with the Digital "Monitor" between Single and Double slot listening. I also added another setting for 10mW power levels. How much does it actually put out? Hard to say! But it's pretty...

Re: NA7Q - Unofficial Firmware Build [1/31]

I reverted the code for now. This update will work. This update also includes the new power settings. Results may vary for those power levels.

Re: NA7Q - Unofficial Firmware Build [1/31]

не работает фильтрация по TS (double не работает) I will look into it. I changed it so left arrow selection would be "Single" and right would be "Double". Something could have happened. Thanks for the post. If I see it doesn't work, I will post a fix. Thanks! Update: You are right, it does not work...

Re: Addition power settings?

Calibration across radios is certainly different. I took the stock calibration from the new source code, and it tossed my low power levels off a bit. 50mw was 150mw. But I suppose that is expected. I also noticed I get 4.5 watts out on the 3 watt setting. I haven't done any calibration in the CPS ho...

50mW two yagi antennas were sufficient for communications at a distance of 20 km (446MHz). Very useful options for me :)
Very awesome. I was able to do 27km with 50mW on VHF to my repeater which isn't line of sight. QRP is fun!

Re: Addition power settings?

250mW has worked since I moved to OpenGD77, I'm never more than like 30 feet from the hotspot generally, so it's not exactly DX but it's just a Pi-W-Z sitting on the desk with the junky antenna that came with the MMDVM, seems fine. For all I know, maybe 50mW is outputting zero on my radio, I have n...

Re: Addition power settings?

Interesting, my hotspot doesn't hear anything on 50mW, even close. 75mW seems fine. Even across the house. Like 50mW isn't doing anything at all. Messed about a bit more, 50mW if the HT is literally touching the hotspot is heard, signal seems good, S9+30 but anything a inch or two away, nothing. 75...

Re: Addition power settings?

I went ahead and added the support for the extra power levels down to 50mW on my builds. I added 75mW and 100mW to it also. They are *rough* estimates. My meter doesn't do well below about 70-80mW, so it's a lot of guess work, but should be fairly close. Download from here. http://www.opengd77.com/v...

Re: NA7Q - Unofficial Firmware Build [1/30]

Updated to provide 3 more power levels of 50, 75, and 100 mW. As well as other minor changes.
Your mileage may vary with the 2 lowest settings. Some radios may output on the dot, or basically nothing.

Re: Addition power settings?

I did some more tests and have slightly adjusted the parameters (scaling factors) for the 2,3 and 4W as well as the fixed offsets I use for the 250,500 and 750mW values. One thing I have noticed is that the battery voltage makes a big difference to the output power. My battery was at 100% and the b...
