Re: Public Beta (2021 11 10)
I'm not sure what's going on, but I'm unable to get the CPS to work today. I am not sure if it's because I updated the CPS to match the latest beta or what, is there any way to debug or look at logs or anything? Machine is WIndows 7 (just have it around for ham radio stuff that requires Windows), us...

Re: SK2 while the power / volume control
You don't need to hold the button for anything related to Suspend while turning the radio on, and if you do for some reason by accident, just turn it back off. I do wonder why there isn't a cancel action on the screen, but none the less I'm confused why you're holding SK2 here at all while turning i...

Re: Power adjustment question
Hi, The SW-33 Mark II can't make power measurements below 100mW (I guess that value is way above): sw-33-part-specs.png https://www.surecom.com.hk/sw33markii Cheers, --- Daniel Yep, had that in the original post. Interestingly it did register .03 originally on 70cm, but who knows about that. Everyt...

Re: Power adjustment question
Yeah I'm not assuming perfect accuracy by any means, but just comparing relative values seems reasonable, although it might also not be linear at all. Really no way for me to measure otherwise. Even after my tweaks, 1W is now 1.35, 250 and 50 still don't measure, but the others are pretty close, 450...

Power adjustment question
I got a SW-33 power meter (says it'll do .1 to 100W) today with a 5W dummy load and have been of course measuring everything. My GD77 (analog mode of course!) seems to do the following. VHF is fine, but wow UHF is way down on expected power on the low end. I don't really care about 5W vs 4.4W or any...

Re: Incorrect transmitter parameters after install of OpenRD5R
This banter really is counter productive, a polite way of saying it's a waste time. Dishing out information bits at a time then getting upset when everyone doesn't fill in the rest of the gaps is also not productive. You need to be more verbose when it comes to what you're doing. You've been all ov...

Re: Displaying filter status
Of course disabling TS filtering will lead to some weird audio when both timeslots are actually in use, so keep that in mind on a busy repeater. Sometimes it's not even obvious.... TS1 will go idle, TS2 picks up, back and forth, and you're casually listening and trying to figure out why there are ra...

Re: Public Beta (2021 09 10)
This is a bit off topic, but since you might be tweaking the manual for some changes along the way here maybe post it here... Am I overlooking the QuickKey explanation in the manual? I can't seem to find it in there and was forgetting earlier how to do it. I guess I'd forgotten you have to clear one...

Re: Building doc for OpenGD77 way of doing Talkgroups etc
Yes, Roaming on a lot of radios is literally just the radio kerchunking the repeater in a specific way and seeing if it hears anything back. So the typical setup is if roaming is on, it'll just ping the current channel every N seconds and if it doesn't get an appropriate signal back, it starts basic...

Re: Public Beta (2021 09 04)
I would suspect this is the first radio that has a satellite database built-in and does all of the frequency settings and doppler shifts for you. Interesting feature. I'd like to do more satellite work but I've never had any luck with it, always seems like I'm too slow on the draw or some big gun is...
