Re: Public Beta (2022 02 07)

There really is a bug in the date when the year, month, and day are entered. I can't enter February 9th, in any year. I am entering this way 2022-02-09. I did the same procedure in 4 GD77 equipment, in the rest everything works perfect. I thank and greet the developers. Thanks. Interesting, I haven...

Re: ALLCALL with GD77

Just googled simplex DMR and all the references I found say its TG99 Of course people can use whatever they like, TG, PC, AC , but TG99 has been the accepted standard for years Oh I agree, but it keeps coming up in random discussions that some people use TG99, some use TG9, and now today I see peop...

Re: ALLCALL with GD77

Interesting, I was just in a discussion claiming that All Call is increasingly popular for DMR Simplex instead of TG99 or TG9. First I'd ever heard of it, but I'm sure it comes from somewhere. Anyone else ever heard of it used for Simplex? I'll just keep on using TG99 as that seems to be the convent...

Re: Public Beta (2022 01 09)

Yep, I use Eco 5, it's even better (the MCU is running a 9MHz while "sleeping"). But with this one, you can miss the very beginning of a transmission, sometimes. Tried Eco 5 overnight; was at 50% after 24 hours ;) So very uncontrolled test, single comparison, but looks basically the same. That's fi...

Re: Public Beta (2022 01 09)

Depends on what you are listening to Doesn't seem to be a problem on DMR repeaters, because the other station can't transmit until the wakeup squence is complete However DMR simplex takes a long time to wake up. Not sure about FM So its up to each operator to decide the level of battery life versus...

Yeah I did have it on 4 or 5 and I found it to be pretty sleepy to wake up, often missing who was being called, or the callsign if someon...

In the past months, yeah ;-)
Well, yeah, but I don't recall it being so efficient until recently :D but either way very nice.

Re: Public Beta (2022 01 09)

Wow.... Were there power tweaks made recently? I turned my radio on yesterday at 8am, rx-only on a fairly quiet repeater, but it's been on for 24 hours now. Battery is at 50%. Eco level 3, backlight set to auto 10s. I might turn on another radio just to make sure it's actually working but it seems t...

Re: External speaker mic

I haven't gotten one yet but want a Retevis HK008 Shoulder Speaker Mic which has its own built-in audio amp and volume knob... I wonder if it'd make a radio louder, certainly make adjusting the volume a little easier on my other DMR radio anyway. I've personally never had an issue with any DMR stati...
