Re: Strange noise when working in DMR...
A couple of possibilities. First, it could be how the vocoder handles the noise. This is not like FM if you're on DMR. A chip is analyzing the sounds it hears and doing compression based on voice elements like silibance. You might also be hearing the feedback of one to the other as it continues to e...

Re: [Solved] GD-77 CPS reports device not found
Common mistakes are not particularly unintelligent, but instead rather common. I've regularly made trivial errors - but everybody else does too. Recovering from those errors is how we learn. If you ask me, the fault here is the different "brands" that require unique radio accessories be implemented ...

Hello, and welcome to the project.
The radios become so useful that I keep some powered on full time (in hotspot mode...).
I think you'll find the development team's work quite remarkable. Marc

Re: Greatings from Kingston, NY. & a NewBie Question.

In this configuration, you'll see Brandmeister forwarding yo...

Re: Greatings from Kingston, NY. & a NewBie Question.
There are some neat and new ways of working. One particular thing to consider is that the code incorporates a full feature DMR MMDVM hotspot radio (allowing you to plug the DM-1801 into a Raspberry Pi running PiStar, and setup a moderate power hotspot with a receiver that features AFC to correct for...

Re: Hello from Gijón [Spain]
Alberto, Welcome to the forum. Roger prefers that we use our call signs as ids on the forum. DMR is a remarkable extension to amateur radio. I suggest you look into the Brandmeister voice over IP infrastructure. It is my preferred "backbone" for DMR, and probably easier to use than others. Many of u...
