Re: NA7Q - Unofficial Firmware Build [2/3]
Have you calibrated your 1 and 5 watt levels out of curiosity? I will probably revert it to the original version, but keep a secondary build with my custom offsets, which appear to be more accurate according to my meter. Do you have a meter you could check your levels with? As for the mic gain, the...

Re: NA7Q - Unofficial Firmware Build [2/3]
I installed the build and all seems well. I do notice the 50 mW appears lower than the "standard" version. I noted S9+24 dB on my hot spot and now it shows S9+11 dB with this version. The 10 mW setting does not reach the hotspot which is 10 meters away. I also typically use the MIC Gain of +12dB but...

Re: Update 29th Jan
Changed to the 50 mW option which changed my hotspot's RSSI to S9+24 dB with all other parameters staying the same.My hotspot now reports RSSI of S9+40 dB at a distance of 10 meters with 250 mW.
Everything looks great !
Thanks!

Re: Addition power settings?
I would certainly try and probably use a 50 or 100 mW setting as my hotspot now reports RSSI of S9+40 dB at a distance of 10 meters with 250 mW. Plus, I sport a pacemaker-defibrillator so it would make my doc happier.

Re: Update 29th Jan
Note: I use my GD77 as a UHF DMR radio only and not as a hotspot nor a scanner with a pi-star/zumspot. I have been using the Jan 29th version for about 6 hours of activity on various TGs with zero problems and have enjoyed excellent sound and solid connections with very few dropouts. VERY pleased an...

Re: Contact lookup is consuming large amounts of CPU time
I do not load a contact DB as I must use a pi-star hotspot and I watch the dashboard on my tablet or screen. I do assume it does not spend time looking for nothing... Would it make sense to add a switch in options to allow or not allow a search in the DB? In my case, I really do not care if any info...
