Re: Droid-Star open development
Hi Doug, Are you aware of the concerns raised by some BM admins about Droidstar and other smartphone apps in general? It's in German, but I used Google Translate: http://bm262.de/dmr-programme-fuer-handy-und-pc-wilde-links/ . I just recently became aware of this, btw. My name is Doug Mclain. I live ...

Re: On "Profiteering" and Free Software
I was supposed this reply to this thread, but somehow it went somewhere else: Last week, I helped a fellow ham program channels on his openDM1801 radio (plus updating the firmware) and TYT MD390. We spent around 4 hours, since programming talkgroups on the TYT was a big headache--and that's using t...

Re: Droid-Star open development
If there will be issues due to AMBE codec IP, then a lot of DMR-YSF bridges should also be impacted, since many use the md-380 emulation server-side.

Thank you for this. I do have dmrconfig on Mac, although it does not support openGD77.

Re: Open GD77 as a hotspot with BlueDV Windows 10
I guess you'll need to confirm if BlueDV has properly connected to BM server. If connecting to a US server, you'll need to have hotspot security turned on and your password inputted on BlueDV.

Re: Re:Deletion of inactive accounts
Hi Roger, I do not have a callsign. I am a retired/disabled FF/EMT in the US. At some point, I would like to get my license. What do I need to do to not have my account deleted? Thanks, Rich Not sure if FCC is already implementing the $35 fee for licenses at this time (recently announced). However,...

Re: DM-1801 promo
Some china sellers had a promo for php 1,200 or around 25 usd for the dm1801 via LAZADA. Got 2 boxes. Gave away 1 radio to a friend.
Quickly sold out, though.

Re: Native DM1801 Cable for OpenDM1801?
I am wondering if there is a cable I can buy, say TYT for 380 or a Radioddity, that will work with the DM1801 and OpenGD77/OpenDM1801 natively? My soldering skills aren't what they used to be :( Would something like this cable allow me to flash and program OpenDM1801 on to a factory standard DM1801...
