Re: ALPHA version - Known problems

Can anyone with the dropout problem, please try these versions https://www.opengd77.com/downloads/MDUV380/Firmware/speed_tests They use different CPU clock speeds, and this seems to improve the dropout problem on my radio, even though the CPU clock speed in these tests is lower / slower than in the ...

Re: ALPHA 2022-09-22-01

Hi, When updating the firmware, the codeplug, dmrid database and keplerian elements aren't touched. Cheers. --- Daniel As I understand it, jamaxsantos is going to replace the factory firmware with OPENGD77 Yes. As I've stated in the video and in the installation instructions, you must backup the Fl...

Re: ALPHA TYT MD-UV380 / RT-3S Installation information

What will be the problem? Thank you, 73 same on my RT-3S. You have to measure the voltage on the back side, (~ 8.2 Volt is 100%) AFIK. LiPo cels are normally rated at 4.2V to be fully charged. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lithium_polymer_battery So fully charged battery should be around 8.4V The f...

Power calibration may be wrong

Please note. I just compared the power output when using the official RT-3S/UV380 firmware, versus the OpenUV380 firmware, and the power output on both 2m and 70cm were not the same. Its likely that the power output is higher than it should be Please check your own power output, and don't use any po...

Re: Baeofeng 1701/1702

Its a completely different radio to the DM1801 The hardware of DM-1702 is quite different from DM-1801 - but it's very similar to RT-3s: STM32F405VGT6, HRC6000, AT1846S. So I hope it will be possible to port opengd77 to this radio some time in the future. DM-1702 and DM-X are basically the same rad...

Re: ALPHA version - Known problems

Installed the previous firmware version. I can say that there are several times fewer cases of reception interruptions in the new firmware version. There is also information from my friend about the periodic loss of power on the transmission at an installed power of less than 500mW. I have not come...

Re: ALPHA version - Known problems

I did not notice this problem on my radio, but the problem will be the ADC input, which measures the volume control etc I will try increasing the priority of the ADC interrupt input Unfortunately, if I increase the ADC priority, I have the dropout problem again. The intial problem seems to be that ...
