Re: Where do I find my contact list? (GD77)
There are two places that IDs can be stored. The Contacts list and the DMR Database. It sounds like you have loaded the DMR database using the CPS menu Extras/Download Callsign Database. This database is only used to identify incoming calls. It cannot be used the send private calls. If you want to s...

Re: RD-5R codeplug to OpenRD-5R codeplug
The original firmware in the radio is software protected to prevent it being read. So it is not possible to make a copy of it. This is nothing to do with OpenGD77, it is the way the radio was designed. If you need to restore the original firmware you must obtain a copy from the radio manufacturer wh...

Re: Installing OpenMD9600 without opening radio
The displayed HW version is not always accurate because the manufacturers made changes to the radio without updating the version number.

Re: RD-5R codeplug to OpenRD-5R codeplug
You can always have two entries for a talkgroup, one for each slot, each with a slightly different name. Then choose the one you need when building the TG list for a repeater. The good thing is that the OpenGD firmware allows you to configure your codeplug in many different ways, everyone will have ...

Re: RD-5R codeplug to OpenRD-5R codeplug
OpenGD77 simplifies the codeplug by only needing one channel per repeater. This is configured with the frequencies and colour code and a 'TG List' which is set up separately. That TG list contains all of the talkgroups you may wish to use on that repeater. The same TG list can be used for several re...

Re: RD-5R codeplug to OpenRD-5R codeplug
You may be able to use my RD5R tool to generate some CSV files. However the file format is not exactly the same as that used by the opengd77 CPS. So you will still need to do some manual editing to get the columns in each file to match. As Roger says, to make the best use of the new features of Open...

Re: Rx wider frequency range
Note that the 220 MHz band is experimental and intended for receive only with reduced sensitivity. Although it appears to transmit, most of the power is NOT on 220 MHZ.
