also had to edit all my analogue channels as they all defaulted to aprs..... lol

excellent, thank you, all good just noticed, when turning "MDUV380 only – Add volume control visual display, See Options->Display options-> Volume : Off/On (F1RMB)" radio locks up, only removing battery will regain control, so i haft this option off cheers, ken Thats strange I just did a full reset...

uv380 writes on display APRS Tx when transmitting but clears afterwards

that looks good, however, i do not know the aprs frequencies in the 70cm band in your area, is 144.640 MHz the allocated one for your area?

have you created an analogue channel called aprs and allocated it to aprs1 (option under the squelch level) ?
