Re: Experimental version with option to disable CC filtering

hi, i looked in the cps at my digital channels and the 'open GD77 Squelch Level' was at 15% on all my digitalchannels. I changed them all to 'disabled' and re=loaded the 1422 firmware. green led now works normally. thank you or the info :D Interesting. I will watch as I have, and I will correct it ...

Re: FM reception with lots of noise.

The GD77 hardware does suffer from overloading of the front end by strong signals on nearby frequencies. This can make weak signal detection difficult. This is especially true on VHF. It is mostly noticed when using an external antenna but can also be seen sometimes on the stock antenna. I am not s...

Re: FM reception with lots of noise.

How do you look at the S meter on the official firmware ? Did you connect a dummy load and observe the RSSI level on 2m and on 70cm ? I can't watch the S-meter with the stock firm, but I can hear the repeaters. Let's see if this weekend I can test and compare 2 gd77 in fm, one with the opengd77 and...

FM reception with lots of noise.

I have several FM (analogue) receivers and comparing it to radioditty they have much less background noise. If we look at the s-meter, they are very quiet while the GD77 signals S5, s7, both at home and in the middle of the country. It is most evident in VHF. The signals received from repeater stati...

Re: NA7Q - Unofficial Firmware Build [2/26]

I detected a reset of the walkie in the menu "channel details" when modifying the CC.
I tried it a second time and it didn't go any further.
I have also noticed that in some cases the display shows CC0 when I have CC1 programmed in the CPS.

Re: NA7Q - Unofficial Firmware Build [2/26]

I prefer to read the % symbol next to the number. just like on my iPhone ...
As for the filter, the options "single" and "double" are not too clear to me. I understand the filters in the Roger's firmware much better.
shortcuts are useful ...

Maybe by reading the logs I can detect the modem's loss and run a "uptate" on the system. ;)

[Won't work because of limitations in PiStar / MMDVHost] New feature in hotspot mode

I noticed that if the firmware/hotspot is not available at the time of pi-star boot, it will not work in hotspot mode until the pi-star is reset. But also, that if for some reason the radio is disconnected, it does not recover the hotspot mode until the Pistar reset. This could be a problem if you p...

Re: [OFF TOPIC - PiStar] I have detected an error in the software pi-star ver 4

Daniel, this only happens with the "4 RC7" version of the Pi-Star. With stable version, 3.4.17 does not happen. The configuration is exactly the same and the hardware is the same. I have no problem using version 3, but I warn that if you use version 4 ... this happens, at least in my house. Hardware...

Re: [OFF TOPIC - PiStar] I have detected an error in the software pi-star ver 4

Please explain how to test. I have GD77, MD380 and MD390, but never noticed such behavior. Also, have you changed some expert settings? Can you start with fresh Pi-Star image and change only basic stuff needed to make QSO? EDIT: Have you mentioned this on Pi-Star forum? -1c8QUJxVI0 No, I'm not have...
