Re: Battery eliminator

Hi Walter, KT4LH, You are right, a MD-380 battery does not hold = work on a GD77! But some user reported they are using the MD-380 battery eliminator on a GD77 It perfectly slides in, just the bottom plate with the two slots is missing. Not perfect. So they use a cable tie around the GD77 at the bo...

Re: ALLCALL with GD77

Can't you just all agree on a Simplex TG? I've heard TG99 often.

Or if you really want All Call, I think that's typically 16777215 so just program that in as an RX group if not already in Promiscuous mode?

it looks like, the TYT MD-380 battery eliminator will fit on GD77 ???

Anyone tried this ?
What makes you think that? You can't put MD-380 batteries on the GD77, no.

Re: Public Beta (2021 12 19)

I see someone on the Facebook group saying the same, maybe something has been made worse. I've had my GD77 off and on today, someone keeps bringing up TG91 so I turn the radio off, too much noise, but I'll keep monitoring to see if I see any reboots myself.

Re: Beltclip

Yep, same, I owned a VX-7R and the only good thing about that damned radio was the belt clip. Seriously. I haven't made this for the GD77 yet, should do that, but this summer I kludged up this for my Anytone 878 and it's worked fabulously: https://imgur.com/a/G9nApqv That's a PC slot cover with some...

Re: roaming feature on gd77

Actually, the Anytone radios have GPS based Zone Roaming now :) I just read about that, but I haven't tried it yet. Will see how well it works when I get the chance to w/ my D878UV. It Just Works, as long as you grok what it's doing.. GPS has to be on, and GPS Roaming has to be on. You can use eith...

Awesome, running it right now, quiet on the repeater but I'll let you know if I see anything odd. Thank you Roger!

Re: Monitor Mode

If you turn off filters they stay turned off while scanning, nothing special to do here. Filters are accessed from the top button.

I've never heard of any other Hams using DCDM
Stock GD77 can do DCDM right? Or maybe it was the MD380. I know one of them could. Never used it, however.
